The GWOT is strong with this one. Just need an NT4 and a Matech rear sight

I'd buy one if I already had other boxes checked just cuz

I can't do a true MK18... the NT4 Can is ehhh. Never liked any of the ones I shot, especially at $1400+

I'd rather do a KAC Rear or LMT Rear vs the Matech.

Yeah it's heavy as most 7.62 cans and sounds even worse but it's already got the giant SF 951 flashlight and KAC rail covers so you might as well keep going...I'd buy one just to have if my other can niches were filled. All the rifles I got issued never had the KAC rear; always the matech

A MK18 doesn't have to have a NT4, or any can, on it. The LMT rear does finish it out nicely. For a CQBR B1, you're good with a KAC or Matech. Regardless, with the Wilcox mount, you're already well on your way to being more correct than mine....which is why I enjoy poking fun at you and your apparent unlimited resources!

Haha... unlimited resources... far from the truth! I just keep a lot of stuff from back in the day. I also trade a lot with the local guys around me and buy a lot of gear on the secondary market. Keeps it a lot more affordable. I only dabble in the clone game. I can't get on board with paying crazy prices for some gear that sucked back then, cause it still sucks now.

A topic that comes up with a friend of mine often, especially when the Docter that I bought from him used comes out on top of my Elcan. That thing is such junk compared to what's available now. But #clonepoints!

Really, the only reason I still have it on the optic is because I don't want to reinvest in a mounting plate for a RMR given I already invested in the mount for the Docter.

I wouldn't say the NT4 sucks. It's heavy, sure, but only 2oz heavier than an M4-2000 and mount, and have just as much rotational issue as a lot of 51T mounts. They can take a hell of a beating and a huge round count on short barreled FA guns. Yeah, there's the latest and greatest out there now, but you could do worse with a current year brand or two for sure.

Never said the NT4 sucked, just ehhhh for me. I don't see 2x the performance of a M4-2000 for 2x the price.

I was more referring to other clone parts, such as Insight lights going for $900.

And let's not forget $400 RIS II rails that go for $600-900 because of their color.

I saw a couple $750 Docter mounts for a 2.5-10x24 NF scopes because they were used by SEALS in those MOH promo videos
