Really thinking about giving the SLR rails a go. I am up in arms I don't know if I want to do an SI-Defense .308 or RA .308 receiver set.. meh one day I will get that .308 build going

I'm really happy with the SLR handguard. It's very comfortable and the finish is good. I like the way they use a "washer" with the 2 screws that tighten the rail onto the barrel nut. This helps keep you from overtightening the screws and crushing that area of the rail (see here). My only complaint is the lack of a QD point for a sling. I'll be adding an Arisaka M-lok QD soon.

Just read back through this thread; didn't mean to give the wrong impressions to Luis or anyone else. The can was made by Innovative Arms, I just visited it a bunch during the process because I'd go to the shop for barrel threading or other cans and got to see that one through its early days.
