I've seen enough magwells pop to not encourage shooting with a hand on it. Ouch.

Explode? Like if an overcharged round explodes in the chamber or an out of battery discharge occurs, the force directed downwards through the mag-well will usually destroy/eject the magazine and blow out the mag well. If your hand is on the mag well when this happens....it wouldn't be pretty. Of course, the upper doesn't come out unscathed and I would replace the barrel as well, but most accessories are still in tact.

So UW, I know this is sitting in jail right now, but when it gets out, are you going clone with it or are you going to keep it with the DD furniture? I still have a hard time believing the rubber on the stock is comfortable over time.
