Long story short, about 15 years ago I purchased a Sabre Defense (rebranded Cavalry Arms CAV-15 MKII) polymer AR lower, along with a Hahn mag well insert and 7 oz. buffer. The idea was to use them with an Olympic Arms .45 upper. I've got several grease gun mags also. I never got around to buying the Olympic upper, and the lower has just been sitting int he safe all this time. I'd originally considered having the .45 barrel cut & integrally suppressed as well. There was a fella in the industry back on tacticalunderground.us a long while back who had done this with excellent results. GWACS Armory apparently purchased the receiver-making equipment and is offering warranty repairs on the receivers.

So now I'm trying to decide if I should follow through, get an Olympic .45 upper & complete the project, or just get a 16" pencil barrel upper & have a very lightweight 5.56 AR. Thoughts?
