I watched the three videos - they provided good insight on not just the completion of the lower, but also on the internals and assembly. I priced the parts on their site to build a complete G43 with one extended magazine. $650 - It would be a fun project, but grabagun.com has the factory G43 for $450. I know there are some upsides to an 80% build, but I wish the price delta was smaller.

Exactly. I did the same thing, unless you want to really get imaginative with a build, it’s not worth it, to me at least. Aside from good sights and maybe trigger, I don’t modify my pistols too much. But the P80 really took off, so I expect this will too.

I think it's great that there are so many options now for building you own handgun. But... $650 for a G43 is STEEP.

Aren't Factory Glock 43's $450 or so? I know Blue Label is $359 if you qualify.

I picked up a used G43 with Trijicon sights for $400 taxed. If I had to guess maybe 3 or 4 magazines through it. Pretty hard to justify $600 plus for 80% one.

There needs to be more options for 80%'ers and hopefully it'll be this year. Not every slide needs cuts, serrations, or RMRs. Basic $150 should be an option like the Brownells slides, only a lot more refined.

I think manufacturers are realizing that, unlike ARs, there’s more margin for markup in glock parts.

What is actual cost to machine a slide?
