    Era3 NRX Handguards

Anyone have one of these? Thoughts good or bad?

Brownells has them marked down at roughly 55% off.

No direct experience with the Noveske/Era3 stuff, but personally I wouldn't pay that much. Cool stuff when first released, and attractive lines and profile, but I generally won't buy a handguard anymore that has anything threaded directly into the handguard or the barrel nut. There are now much better mounting systems available. BCM, Geissele, SLR, Aero ATLAS all have superior mounting, IMO. Mushroom head Torx screws directly into a timed barrel nut? No thank you.

They're made by SMOS, so if you've used a Noveske NSR or the old SMOS GFY handguards, these will be familiar to you.

Personally not a huge fan of timed barrel nuts, much better designs out there... but I bought one on Brownells as I have an ERA3 set that needs to be built up at some point.

Pretty good deal if you don’t mind the barrel nut setup.

Don’t forget to use Active junky if ordering from Brownells..a little kickback and use my referral link in my thread in the lounge -AJ/Ebates

I love mine. Favorite rails I own or have owned in the past.

    Lengths are kinda weird though.
