Hey, not the pinnacle of introductory posts but still a pleasure to contribute what I can to the thread not for the AR15.
I had an Ishi back in the day. It would ring steel offhand at 100 yds all day. Good old rifle.

Love that B&W photo Quib. What is the rifle? And that pipe is something else!

    Thanks Dave.

    C. Smith is correct. The rifle is a 98k Mauser. The pipe was passed on to me by my German Grandmother. The other items are from family as well.

Love it. My elderly father has an old Mexican Army Mauser that looks similar to this. I look forward to owning it myself some day :-)

    Hard act to follow

Definitely not as cool as the collection of memorabilia from the Fatherland, but here goes:

Milled Norinco SKS with TAPCO furniture, and a cat. She''s my BUG.

Howa 1500 in .22-250, my dad did the stock

In the bottom left corner is the tail of an 1896 Swedish Mauser from 1899. I'll try to get more of my collection up soon, and find my good camera.

New Ruger 10-22 Take-Down model - I like it a lot better than the "Papoose" or the other take down 22. Great little backpack unit. Inexpensive scope and Weaver Lever-Lock QD rings on the way.

Comes with a really nice case. Buttstock goes into a pouch on one side, the other side has two pouches - one for the barrel and another for a scope. One of the outside zippered pouches has two sleeves inside it for their BX-25 Magazines, the other is just a pouch, but has MOLLE on the outside. Pretty well thought out IMHO.
