    Same here...

but I have the NRA coverage... low cost... but you still have to prove you had 'em...

The pics confirm the numbers and description... also have close-up pics of the numbers...

Also keep all of my purchase receipts... and a three-ring binder full of acquisition data...

This was good to point out for everybody... UW...
I'm not sure what the NRA coverage costs or covers, but State Farm (who I have) just wanted serial numbers as proof when I purchased my insurance rider.

I was just thinking of this because I just did my annual update serial numbers for my guns/electronics/ect.

Not exactly for sure about the NRA requirements... but I am probably going over-board and being overly cautious. However, I have experienced insurance problems before... and don't want to take any chances.

    Thanks...

With the right scope at 50 yards... it is a tack-driver. (Probably further than that, although I have not shot it much further.) On me... the stock fits like a glove... and the cheek weld comes natural.

    Two more heaters...

Just got through watching Steve McQueen in Bullet for the umpteenth time... and enjoyed the scene again where he gives chase in his Green Mustang fastback... to the black Dodge Charger. Just a great street pursuit... probably the best ever filmed. In that scene... the gray-haired assassin loads up his Winchester 1897 hammered-pump... and seeks to ventilate Steve McQueen through the left rear window of the Charger...

Two Winchester '97 pumps... my SASS shotguns (one is a backup)...

All of the Winchesters depicted have 18 1/4 " barrels with internal chokes...

    Nice... I love the 45-70...

With that barrel... for distance... it would be a great elk rifle.
