That particular one is a Springfield Service Grade that I stumbled upon being sold by a private seller when I was stationed out in San Diego. I got it for $50 more than what CMP was charging and it turned out to be a WWII receiver with a correct barrel (1943). The rest are a mixture of parts, but I was happy to have found an actual WWII gun with a WWII barrel.

Good deal. And likewise, I'd be perfectly content with the afore mentioned. Any idea whether it's an originally barreled receiver? Chances are, if the barrel was made around the same time the receiver was, the barrel was never swapped out.
Now we just need to get ya some lockbar sights to make it even more WWII period correct

I'm not sure if it's the original barrel, but the dates make it seem like it's possible. I'm going off memory at the moment, but the receiver was something like a July-ish timeframe and the barrel is a November-ish, so it's possible, I just don't have any proof.

Yep, one of the lucky ones... service grade, 5-digit Inland... receiver and barrel could be original pairing, both Inland and dates align... might have spent some time in Bavaria or Austria based on some markings... still figuring out other parts. ME/TE is 1+/2+... all in all can't complain.
