Wilco. I've heard mixed reviews as well.

Initial impressions without firing it are mostly good. The welds are all nice and clean, the mag well is straight mags seat properly (the paddle mag release sticks a bit after it's been pressed and released, but doesn't prevent mags from being released or seating properly), SilencerCo and AAC 3-lugs mounts both fit the barrel like a glove, and the trigger is smooth as can be (i suspect they did an action enhancement job). My only gripe is that i noticed the action felt super gritty when cycling it by hand. I tore it apart and found what i'm assuming was blasting media that was used to prep the receiver for cerakote, or maybe grinding dust from cleaning up the welds, in the cocking tube and inside the receiver. After reassembly and lubrication, it's smoother but it's still not as smooth as my SP5K. The cerakote itself is nicely applied, but is a very flat black and not at all like the lustrous black of HK's original finish. Despite delivery taking six months instead of the six weeks i was initially quoted, Brethren were great to work with. They always replied to my emails and answered questions, and even though my gun was from their "factory" line instead of a full custom build, Kyle worked with me and let me tweak things on the build (the guns is supposed to come with a welded on picatinny rail, and i requested that be left off and that the original lines of the MP5 be preserved, and i requested and received a 3-position SEF trigger pack housing when a plain Jane 2-position SF housing is standard). The gun also shipped with a brand new German made HK magazine, not a beat to shit used one or US/foreign made knock off, which i though was a nice touch.
