Was going through a hard drive and rediscovered this from a deployment. I can't remember if I took this or if it was an observer, but either way, it should be free and clear since we were acting in the line of duty. Flickr says this isn't a repeat, but if it is, apologies.

Even if it was a repeat, I love bad ass pics like this.

HK91 with a milsurp G3 collapsable stock. The cheek weld is nonexistent, but it looks badass.

Love that shot, Stick. And not just for the obvious.

Especially like all the balancing going on with the angles of the elements. One stumped me for a while though -- the left boot sole. Everthing else seemed to have a match. It felt right but it's pair was not evident for the longest time. Finally I realized her sight line is the only other horizontal thing in the picture. Even though it is invisible.

Yeah, I'm sure it's not all conscious composition. More the instinctive execution of an experienced, natural artist. But it pleases my geometry receptors.

My receptors are also pleased, but not my geometry ones (I'm not sure I have any of those).

I don't think I've ever looked at a photo with such an analytical view. Not that that's bad, in fact I probably should more but have a tendency to either think "I like it" or "not" and not much of "why".
