I'll admit, I probably laughed too hard at that.

Thanks, man. It's probably my favorite rifle that i own right now. It's a shame the HK91 has been out of production for nearly 30 years, as they aren't getting cheaper or easier to find and i'd love to add another one to my collection. It would be really cool if HK would build and import an updated version of the HK91 (and the HK93 for that matter) like they did for the SP89/MP5K with the SP5K.
I keep tossing around the idea of buying a parts kit and a receiver flat while surplus parts are cheap and plentiful, and stashing them away to be built at a later date. It looks like it would be a helluva lot of fun building a G3/HK91/CETME, but i don't have a welder or press, let alone the correct jigs and fixtures to do it right. Space is at a premium as well. But if i had a buddy with all the proper tools, i'd definitely take advantage and build one ASAP."It's time to start slapping people." - George Carlin

Anyone considering a Zenith Firearms MP5 clone, I would recommend against it. First range trip after I got my stamp back, It wouldn't extract. The round was in the chamber and would not grab it after it fired. Then I realized not only would it not extract, it wouldn't eject.
Emailed Zenith CS, waited a week, no response. Got in touch with them through Facebook, and they told me email them. LOL. Right.
Decided to fix it on my own with an HKparts.net order. Ejector, Ejector Spring, Extractor, Extractor Spring, and Axel order later, it's fixed.
I can see why higher end clones like Dakota Tactical are well regarded, it's because it actually runs out of the box.

I'm sure Atlantic isn't talking, but I'd be interested to hear why they went from their AA89 (which I have and has been great) to the Omega. I'm assuming a different manufacturer, but always struck me as odd when the guy at Atlantic raved to me about the original AA89 builder (although he wouldn't tell me who it was).
