I went through the cycle, starting with "those are stupid, why would anyone want one?" to "I gotta have one of those!". I took it out yesterday for the first time and I have to say it was a lot of fun, especially supressed. The only thing I didn't like about it was the cheap A2 pistol grip. I put a Hogue grip on in last night but I don't expect that to be a lot better but it's what I had laying around and I was curious if I could use a grip with a beaver tail (barely, I wouldn't try with a hard plastic pistol grip). The thing breaks down very compactly.

I lost track...Boiler, which one did you end up going with?

I struggled with that idea for a while, but finally just went with KAC when they ended up coming available. Seems easier to put a light on there that is exactly what I want (whatever that might be) rather than a light that's from the 80's/90's. That said, I still dig the old-school look of the embedded light.

    That's the PTR 9C.

Regarding the CompM4, I got idea from seeing a German Policeman running an M4S on his MP5 at Frankfurt a few years ago. I shot it yesterday and with the riser removed it actually works very well.

I put the KAC RAS on my wannabe A3 with the adjustable stock. I love both looks. You're right, the KAC is probably more practical.

Overall well done. I keep coming back to my MP5's after shooting all my other sub guns.

Rolling around in the monocular the last month, the monocular has a definite PRO when it comes to that. Even when you keep both eyes open you naturally focus on the NV, but your non-dominant eye can still pick up... say a giant spider web you're about the walk into.

I'll probably invest in another binocular version for depth perception.
