Like a dream. I've always loved Sig's Short Reset Trigger, but the adjustable over-travel stop make this the best Sig trigger i've ever shot.

For the longest time, I thought my friend had a .45 Ti-Rant, didn't realize it was a 9mm. OEM threaded barrel in the black. Got one more sitting NIW for the RAL8000 eventually. Ran just fine with Remington UMC 115 gr. (26 rounds) and Winchester W Train 147 gr. (50 rounds).

Sorry man, I missed your question! I was actually wondering if there was no love for this new pistol.

This is the spankin' new Ruger American Pistol Pro series in 9 mm. It's a full size pistol and nearly identical to my full size Glocks. It's actually more similar to my glocks than different. The one departure is the trigger, of course. I've got limited time with it so far, but it's growing on me (I walked into the shop ready buy an XD 4.0 Service). I started out curious about this pistol; I guess that was enough to plunk down the cash for it. I like the look and feel. The gun comes with 3 different size back/side covers to the grip's base and the medium fits me well, but I'm going to try the small later this evening just to see if it feels compellingly different. I have big hands and stubby fingers, but the way it comes the medium grip puts the trigger right on the pad of my finger. Not bad, but my problem with double stacks is I have to change my grip slightly to hit the mag release. With the American's ambi mag release, I can simply curl my trigger finger back and hit the release without manipulating the weapon. Cool work-around; may not ever come into play for my purposes, but it works and feels decent. It doesn't have the silly bar inside the action like my shield, to enable removing the slide. Being mainly a Glock shooter, that struck as a really odd step to breaking down a weapon... Sticking your pinky finger down inside the action (great use for a Twist, BTW!), isn't much different from putting your head in an alligator's mouth. :)

The trigger! It's set back in the guard and so takeup is shorter than what I'm used to in either my Glocks or my Shield. It breaks kind of so-so, and feels kind of gritty and I'm sure it's loaded with crap and could use a good cleaning. I tend to leave the stock stuff in for 500 rounds to let it have its break-in. I'm not a huge trigger snob, but its no Geissele, with it's snappy break. One thing I notied is you can feel the trigger break (un-cocked) in the same place as when it's firing live ammo. Never noticed that on my other pistols; not sure if its good, bad, or indifferent.

This is my first Ruger since I had a 10/22 as a kid. I've not been much a fan or the SR's or any other pistols until this one grabbed me. I've owned an H&K USP before, and though its by no stretch a USP, its pretty comparable, mainly the silhouette I guess.

200 rounds of a mixture of new Winchester and Freedom Munitions 115 gr jhp's without a hiccup. No target to show off; I bust pop cans and jumping targets around the yard. :)
