Decent Folder Knife for $100 plus or minus?

Can I buy a decent drop point non-serrated folder for around the $100 mark, give or take? I understand you get what you pay for, and I'm not too tight to buy a knife for 2 or 3X that amount, I just have a long history of losing or breaking expensive knifes. Go figure. Anyway does anyone have a suggestion? In the field I always carry a Leatherman multi-tool. How ever I rarely go hunting, hiking or camping much anymore, and feel I would be better served with the folder for EDC.

    Thanks,

    FT?

Benchmade Griptillian or Bugout. A few buck over 100 if you shop.

This is a pretty good suggestion.

I personally carry a Zero Tolerance blade... got it for just over $100 ish at the time. Like SINNER said, you can save some $ if you shop around.

Thanks to both of you. Ended up buying the Griptilon 551 for $106.00 from Amazon with free shipping, with the non-serrated drop point blade. It has all the features of what I had in mind. In fact it s very much what I imagined that I had wanted. Actually it was mostly a virtual coin toss between the Benchmade and the Zero Tolerence, the spec's were so similar

I've owned a couple of Benchmade fixed blades and they were great for the price, so that was kind of the "tipping point" for my choice.

    Thanks again,

    FT

I’ve been using the SOG Flash II for years and have been very happy with it. You can get them on Amazon for $50 now.

    Lost my last ZT.

Have been everyday carrying a benchmade mini barrage 585-2 with g10

It’s been a killer little knife.

I’m sure you’ll like the griptilian, it’s a popular knife for a reason.

A little late to the thread, but I'll go ahead and mention the Spyderco Native 5 Lightweight

Not a fan of the grip. I'd rather have a used Presidio for two reasons; First, the Presidio is a far better knife, IMO and used makes it more affordable, but Second; Benchmade is dead to me after the cutting up firearms douchedown. I can find better from companies that support the second amendment.

Zero Tolerance. Might have to buy used to get in that hundy category, but you'll like it way better than standard Kershaw, which ain't so bad.

Gerber 06 Auto. Its a standard issue knife in the army and is made in the USA. None of that cheap ass clam shell nonsense. And they sell a version without serrations, which the military is oddly fond of for some reason. If you need serrations, you need a honing stone worse!

Joelski, let's see Benchmade's version. I'd hate to cut profit and jobs on faulty or misguided information. https://www.recoilweb.com/benchmade-...in-147462.html

How do you lose a knife? It has one of two homes, either clipped to your pocket, or in its sheath, fastened to you, or your pack. I lock my damn keys in my truck, but my knife is always clipped in,900r safe and sound.

Seriously, track down one of those Buck Vantage knives. The come in Select, Avid and Force Pro modelts and prices run $30, $50 and $90 respectively, adding things like better steel and G10 as you move up. Great little knife and you don't the have soul pain from losing ZT money somewhere.

Ha..ha..ha..Hell Joelski, if I could answer that question, maybe, just maybe, I'd quit losing and breaking them.
