Bobro Engineering 1.93 Single Lever Mount

Looks like Bobro is finally releasing a 1.93 Mount. Not on the website yet as you have to call to make an order. Hopefully Red Dot mounts are next.

Alright, alright, alright. 1.93” single lever mounts are in stock! Give us a call tomorrow if you’d like to place an order.

What is the significance? What does 1.93 refer to? Height over bore?

It places the centerline of the optic 1.93” above the rail. Very handy for shooting with NODz and masks, as it gives a more a heads up position.

Like you said, I don't know why it took so long. I cannot shoot without a 1.93 mount with NODs.

Makes shooting with a fusion in your neck easier, too.

I find it interesting that places keep choosing 1.93", given that the original point of that height is no longer really a concern (clearing a PEQ-2 with an S&B Short Dot). I would think that something like a 2.04" would be more useful overall, with a small enough difference for normal shooters to not make a noticeable difference. I suppose people are just used to the 1.93" and look for that, so it's more of a marketing thing at this point (the specific height, not tall mounts in general, I get the concept behind that)?
