I wasn't singing it's praises, I stated (as I always do) I will let my experience guide me. As of this post, I put around 25k rounds through my SBR with the NX8 attached, it is definitely good when it comes to 1-6x shooting but at 8x it's near useless without an absolutely perfect cheek weld. I'll get into it more in my review (when I do it).

I ran an ATACR 1-8x for a class and it is an easy 30% better than the NX8. Yes it's heavier but it's eye relief is amazing.

While I am hopeful that the vortex 1-10x will provide a better experience but I am very suspect of it's 8-10x range being usable in an expedited prone position.

With the exception of the dot brightness, it seems like the ATACR is everything the Vortex 1-6 was but with a better reticle and a bit more mag. I'm definitely a fan.

While I am hopeful that the vortex 1-10x will provide a better experience but I am very suspect of it's 8-10x range being usable in an expedited prone position.
I'm also wondering about it's eyebox at low mag. My concern is that it will have a NX8 eyebox and not a 1-6/ATACR eyebox, in which case it's not worth the money to me. It will be interesting to see how it does.

Brownells has this listed at $1999 now for pre-order. Looks like that puts street price at around $1800 or so.

I pre-ordered from SWFA for $1,999 and got the new GEN III scope mount for an extra $20

If this ends up in the $1500 range that's a decent price
