That is a lot of glass.
Hopefully, Vortex is able to get more products in stock in 2022.

Mmm heavier and the same price point as a proven NF ATACR 7-35x without the reticle options of the NF. Mmm I don’t know about it. I think they’ve priced themselves into the alpha class of optics, and I don’t know if discerning shooters will want a vortex when NF, ZCO, Kahles, S&B is available.

I think this is clearly going after the ATACR 7-35 market and I think they'll sell well. Street price for Vortex is usually around 30% off MSRP which means the Razor will be ~$800 less than the ATACR, and Vortex's Mil/LEO discount will make it that much harder to justify the higher price of competing scopes for a lot of shooters. Kahles tops out at 25x and S&B, ZCO, TT are over $4K. I do agree that there is a segment of the market that is used to and happy paying over $4K for their optics who likely won't be swayed by this offering.
EBR-7 is a solid reticle. The NightForce MIL-XT and Kahles SKMR3 reticles came well after the Vortex EBR (on Razors since Gen 1) and I have to believe the competitive pressure from the Razors had something to do with that. I do wish Vortex would have gotten the weight under 40 ounces but they are within 6 ounces of the ATACR. I bet this will be popular with PRS.
I think this release is good for everyone even if you stick with the competition because Vortex is putting pressure on the market. I wonder if they are pushing this direction with their AMG, too.

Very positive review from, I think, a pretty unbiased or at least balanced set of shooters

Really, every other year or so, I see something "bigger and better" Is that scope REALLY worth 3K? For that kind of money, I should be able to zoom in on angels dancing on a pin...
