    IMO, a truck rifle should be secured in a backpack and easily portable to keep from being thieved upon. This means getting a folder. Perfect if wanting to use 300 BO.

    But that LAW folder is going to bring weight penalties with, FYI.

    Or go something like this; whole lot lighter and shoots more than one round folded. Perfect for a pack, not complicated, easy to strip and clean. I still wouldn't leave a firearm in the vehicle any longer than I had to. The crackheads are trying car doors out in the country over here, and a friend of mine had his toolbox broken into. I'm fairly safe on my property because I have a meanass dog that will be pissed if some asshole interrupts his groundhog hunting.
