Need New Sig 365XL Trigger Advice/Info
I picked up a new Sig 365XL today, and have a trigger question. I'm a total newb to Sig's and the only thing I can say I don't care for now is how "gritty" the trigger pull is. Are there any drop in parts, ala Glock, to smooth out the triggers on these things without Gunsmith machining or pro work? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I upgraded mine and I really like it. It is a slight bit more involved to do but nothing impossible. Just take lots of notes/pictures as there will be a couple of small parts that can be fiddly. That said Armory Craft makes an armorer's block if you want to spring for that. Not totally needed by any means. I don't have one but I recall having to be patient to get everything back in the right order (ie small parts).
The actual trigger I opted for is from Gray Guns. It is the adjustable straight trigger.

There are lots of other upgrades out there as well. I got a lot of stuff from MCarbo so definitely look around there. I have their titanium striker and (I think) their spring kit.
Armory Craft makes some good stuff too. I think I have their mag release.
Another big one that makes a MASSIVE difference is I got a Wilson Combat grip module and put in a Tungsten weight set into the grip. The grip itself is by far the #1 thing that I like.
The trigger now is excellent as well. With the spring kits out there you can adjust the trigger pull and so forth at least some.
They say you are not supposed to modify a carry gun, but I ran over 2000 rounds or so through mine post upgrades, and that was before I stopped counting. Now it's more. In other words I am pretty confident that mine will go bang when I pull the trigger.
There are a ton of options out there. I just named a few.Last edited by alamo5000; 26 April 2024 at 11:12.

Thanks. I ordered a kit earlier from Tactical Trigger that's supposed to take out most of the pre-travel, shorten the pull, and eliminate most of the overtravel. That and some shooting is supposed to take the trigger creep out, and lover the pull to 3.5 - 4 .lbs. Mine has the manual safety so the kit went up to $140, but not too bad if it accomplishes what it's supposed to. GHOST.inc sells the same kit, but didn't have the new modified safety and rear slide plate and had me call tactical trigger. I'll be happy if it works as well as they said it would.
Thanks again,

Update, no commercial gunsmith would install it and I see why....enough said but I tossed it. Money down the drain, but may have saved my life. I DID send it to "The Sig Armorer" who did a hell of a polish job and improved the trigger immensely. I also ordered some 15 round mags for my G43's and plan to T&E them against the 13 round Sig and see which is which and what is what, and if the two extra rounds in the G43's vs. their normal 10 rounds makes that much of a difference and if the Glock 43 15 rounders are reliable. Will report with my opinion and experiences with them.

It's been a while, but there was a little spacer in there that was just held in place by friction, that's part of the modification and kit. It has been known to come loose and lock up the pistol. I'd almost need to show you for a better description. It's purpose was to shorten the pre-travel by quite a bit.

When I get a few minutes to look at that trigger kit I am going to see if I can identify what the problem was/is.
The one I got uses an imbedded adjustment 'screw'. I think it is physically prevented from going up too far. After I got it the way I like I put a tiny dab of blue locktite on it as extra insurance. Even with that one if you try to set it on the razor's edge it could prevent the trigger from resetting (potentially) if you screw it in too far. I have about 1 or 2mm of 'insurance' in mine. With mine, I have several thousand rounds and several years with it and not a single malfunction.Last edited by alamo5000; 4 August 2024 at 11:43.
