I would think that somebody would do some research into DLC, PVD, QPQ, etc. methods of placing durable coatings on high temp items like cans, even if a firing schedule is necessary to preserve a certain level of finish integrity. There are plenty of shops out there... maybe not with the depth of ROBAR, but still there are places like Vulcan doing this stuff, I would think they would have a vested interest in getting to market with a durable suppressor coating. Or maybe nobody cares, but I highly doubt that. Maybe the average civilian shooter just isn't hard enough on the can in the first place? You definitely don't see a lot of people shooting their firearms to the point that the can glows, which is what sold on the Alpha/Paladin in the first place.
