Glock 30 question
Picking up a Gen 5 G30 tomorrow.
Watching YouTube vids on it and on reviewer stated the floor plate on the Gen 5 G30 10 round magazine cannot be removed.
Glock put it together, so it would seem there should be a way to remove it ... for cleaning, spring replacement, etc.
Pierce Grips shows a replacement floor plate (no increase in rounds) for the G30, but does not mention generation.
I sorta like the Pierce finger tab on them.
Can that floor plate be removed?
If so, how?
I cannot find online images of that particular magazine bottom to see if it has the push-tab for removal. Bases on the vid, I "assume" that tab is missing.
Any help greatly appreciated.NRA Benefactor Member

That seems very odd since all of Glocks other magazines can be disaembled... Can you post up that video? Even if the mags that it comes with wont breakdown can you buy a few G30 Gen 4 mags and just replace those with the floor plates you want to add and keep the 10 rounders as backup? AFAIK Gen4 mags run just fine in Gen5 pistols, they do on my Gen5 G17

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KkupI-mebvk There are several places on that video where you can see the bottom of the G30 mag and it sure looks like it has the little button for disassembly...
