WEVO / LRB Built
Hard to pass up a deal. Ordered the WEVO/LRB from Ranier. Moved the A2 Rifle stock to it because it will become a distance varmint rifle. Saving for the Ranier / Shilen 18" SPR Ultra Match Upper. Used USGI parts except for the Timney Trigger.
Lower and trigger shown in the two photos below:
I have also been working on the short to intermediate range carbine.
Completed unit (until EOTech can be ordered)
VLTOR Enhanced MOD Stock
Midwest Industries Extended Carbine Free Float Rails --- Thanks Stickman for the install thread. Instructions included with the rail are less than ideal.
Installed a PWS FSC-556 Comp.
It's been a fun project. Going to the range on Monday to zero the 1.5-5 Leupold and see how it shoots now. Purely subjective, shot well before and I didn't change anything that should screw it up. But will try both lowers to see how the Timney does.NRA Benefactor Member

Nice rifle man, I really like that grip. Did you make it yourself?

Wow, great job with the pics Dad! Wish I could head up to Atlanta next week to shoot with ya. Maybe you'll have the 18" SPR by the time my SBR is built, and we'll do that comparison chrono testing between barrel lengths in the backyard firing lane here.
travclem, that's a Pachmayr grip.

Thank you. It is a Pachmayr for the AR-15. Had it for years. Bought it back when I was really into revolvers. It is their "Gripper" model and extremely comfortable. Along with the VFG, makes the carbine very secure and pointable.
Thanks Son, looking forward to it. We should have a nice assortment from carbine 16s, mid-length 16s and 18s, to your SBR. We will have to post the chrono results to show variances.NRA Benefactor Member

How do you like the Vltor MOD stock?

I have never been a carbine stock fan until I was able to shoulder this one in a local gun shop. Historically, they have not "cheeked" well for me. The EMod is very comfortable, and positions my face where I can transition from iron to scope with minimal movement. Weight is good for my particular combination. Rubber butt grips clothing well, but does not seem to snag when snapping into position. Bottom line, I like it a lot.
