Yeah, I know what you mean. The problem is that in extending the property of rational thought to a government in general and AWB laws in particular one is often giving both too much credit.

The video definitely shows promise. I would like to see that same video but in a low light / no light setting to truly get a feeling for how much flash is truly going to be suppressed.

I think the Rainier Arms Compensator is very interesting. What it looks like to me is a 4 prong version of the AAC Blackout on the end of the Patriot Ordnance factory compensator. I have to wonder how much flash suppression you get with the comp before the prongs. It would be a better choice than the stock POF comp on my rifle however.

The 2 top dogs of flash suppression seem to be the Vortex and the Blackout. What I'd like to know is there enough difference between the two in terms of effective flash to really matter? Obviously people have asthetic choices and also a preference to the type of can they mount. We can own suppressors in my state but can't actually shoot them on a weapon. So I am sticking to pure effectiveness. I've seen most of the threads about this, including Sticks with the always great pics.

Does anyone have any actual experience with both flash hiders, and have an opinion as to which is more effective?

Considering that your questions pertain to flash suppressors other than the extreme comp. you may want to start a new thread to answer them as they may get more viewing traffic.

What is the overall length of this and also how much length is added to barrel once it's installed?

Is this ever going to be available? Is there an expected release date?

Thanks, I actually just searched RainerArms before posting, but looked for brakes, not comps.
