Ugh. I need to unfollow this thread. Haha.

Been considering a PRO. Trying to decide whether to ditch the micro (PA) for one or just keep saving for an Aimpoint Micro.

You and me both. I've been smart and emptied a few shopping carts today.

I decided to play around with removing the crack on my grip today. I decided on a shallow "V" shape for the new contour based on the size and shape of the chunk of polymer that was cracked. I took my time, and used an Exacto knife and some small needle files. Overall, i'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Now i need to get up the balls to try undercutting the trigger guard a bit.

Anyway, ROG Tactical is still running their Christmas sale, and it looks like coupon code "facebook" knocks off another 5% on top of the sale prices. Some awesome deals on Geissele triggers and a bunch of other stuff over there right now. http://www.rogtac.com/christmas-sale/

I bought my first Aimpoint and really my first ever red dot of any kind for Christmas... you won't be prying that out of my hands any time soon. I am really digging that thing.

If your goal is small and light, keep saving for the Aimpoint micro. If you don't mind a bit larger, heavier optic, i wouldn't hesitate pulling the trigger on a PRO. My only complaint with the PRO is that I find the QRP mounts a bit clunky, but they're not bad mounts. I'm waiting for a couple Midwest Industries QD bases to arrive to try out on a couple of my PROs. I've got a PA micro as well, and like it quite a bit. It's taken a lot of abuse. But, definitely not on the same level as an Aimpoint.

Stellar man! Excellent work. If you take a careful approach to the undercut like you did that magwell cut then I think you'll be fine.
If you do it then be sure to post results (or questions) in the grip stippling thread. That's probably the best place to discuss frame mods.

Thanks, man! I appreciate the advice/pointers/motivation. I'll be sure and post pics in the grip stippling thread when i finally get around to doing the trigger guard.

LOL! When you put it that way... They'd really have to try to make it worse than steel case Wolf.

Seems to be a few decent reviews on it. If you reload would be able to make use of the brass several times over as well.
