well, that sucks. Forgot all about this, looked at my order and it just says 'cancelled'. No call, no email, just cancelled. Had to get on live chat and ask - Vortex not taking backorders was their reason. Got offered the same Diamondback. My opinion is there is no such thing a 'too much scope' as I've had a hunt totally buggered by a lower end scope. Never again...

It looks like Vortex just dropped the reticle, the MOA reticle is still available, I should have tried to deal for that one.
I compared that to Cabela's (Meopta) and picked that up instead. Gathers more light, and has everything I needed. My Nikon Buckmaster went foggy last hunt, and I had to go to my open sights for the hunt. Now that I've got a good scope, I'll invest in better open sights as I don't like these plastic ones.

I tried for the MOA reticle but no go. Did you compare the Cabela's scope to the PST or the Diamondback? I have a Diamondback on my 10/22- it's good on that, but would not do for my .338. I have a PST on my .308AR and love it, but it's a 4x16 which is more than I want hunting (my 308AR is a bench gun)

I had a scope totally and completely ice up the internals chasing caribou years ago... sealed and fog free my ass! 'Course, could be the fact it was -30°f but still. The rings on that one had no opening for iron sights which has been changed since.

Scalarworks has their Aimpoint T2/LDM bundle back in stock for $779. That works out to $630 for a T2, which is a pretty good deal in my book.

Smoking deals on M4s there! I've been trying to get my hands on one for years now! Just can't convince "other people" in the house hold that spending $800+ on a new one is a good investment.

The ones on Clydes always look trashed though. You can find some safe queens on the EE from m4c to arfcom pretty regularly. I wouldn't buy a new one, so your wife is smart!

Those pictures did look like they've seen a lot of love. I'll have to poke through arfcom and m4c more regularly I suppose. Thanks for the heads up!
