I think I own 3 or 4 of those BCM blem uppers. Great value, especially back when they were $79.99. Other than uneven anodizing on one of them, I couldn't tell what was wrong with them.

Eyeballed the upper today. It looks like it has a scratch from installation. And that's about it. Very happy (though I'd have been happier with your $79.99 price). All I need now is the rail system and I'll have all the parts. I'll try to start a build thread when I get to that point, but will have to hold off for just a few more months.

I'm gonna necro this old thread rather than starting a new one. If the admins would prefer, we could start a 2014 version and archive the older stuff. Either way, some kinda of "here's a bargain" thread still seems useful.

Both are 5.56 NATO, chrome-lined with M4 ramps. I think these are good prices for today's market since decent barrels are hard to find at this price point unless you're UWone77 (yes, I'm still envious of your find on that 14" DD). I had both in my cart and managed to close the window just before the CC info got entered, though I'll probablynot be able to resisit the fluted barrel for long. For those that don't know the company, Green Mountain has made barrels for Colt, so its not like they're clueless.

I did manage to pick up 2 more of those barrels, but not at the $150 mark, had to pay $190, which I think is still a great deal. You need one? :)

I just received 2 Aero Precision slick side uppers. They arrived well packaged, their fit and finish are good overall. Both have absolutely no slop fit into Noveske N4 and Gen 2 lowers.

The Aeros are Cerro forged. My standard Spikes uppers are also Cerro forged. I'm making a leap that the slick upper is too. You can draw your own conclusions on what that might mean and how much a spider logo might be worth. What I will say for certain is that the Aero Precision piece is a solid upper option at a great price. I may very well buy a couple more while they're in stock.
