Deals and Hard To Find Items

Do you know what the deal on USMC marked ones are? I heard they were stolen, then they were kosher? I see them reasonably priced on the EE's on Arfcom.

My understanding is the USMC bought a ton, didn’t use them and DRMO’d them. They were bought up and have been happily sold by reputable dealers nationwide (no one ever punished that I can find), but KAC is mad ‘cause profits.

I think it boils down to KAC propaganda versus how the system actually works. I have numerous pieces of gear that are issued specifically to me (as notated in my record), but when I retire, no one will be missing it when I depart, perfectly legally.

I don't know that the USMC bought a ton and then DRMO'ed is the right way to put it. More like USMC bought a ton, they weren't used for periods of time in phases, and then USG would auction them off, in phases, which is why they came to market. KAC was obviously being undersold and were upset (get over it). That said, there have also been incidents where NCIS showed up for specific purchases, but it's not a carte blanche, USMC is bad type of thing. But to believe KAC when they say that EVERY USMC-marked sight is stolen just doesn't understand the stock system and how the government tries to recoup "used" gear.

There is a guy selling "seasoned" (used) KAC Micro rear BUIS on eBay for $51. Seller is pablavalo9. The sights had good reviews from prior buyers so I went ahead and ordered one.

Received this today. Marked "USMC" but in pretty decent shape. Would buy again (and might). Too bad I can't get the same deal on the front sight.

Mine arrived as well. Like I said, I'm pretty sure I've ordered from this guy before. Mine looks to have CPC all over it (it's still in the bag), but otherwise wear is minimal.

I'm guessing he keeps his eyes on DRMO sales.

Probably the same guy puts out KAC rails in batches. They're beat pretty hard, but if you want to build a ratty, truck gun with all the cred in the world, them's the one.
