    Post BOBRO Type 2 Bipod

There is an thread announcing that Bobro is releasing a new bipod, which is the next generation of their already successful unit. For people who haven't seen it, here is the link.
    http://www.weaponevolution.com/forum...?p=779#post779

The low profile of this unit, along with the rapid release make this a worthy successor, but more importantly, I can't think of assets that the first generation bipod possessed that the 2nd generation doesn't, and thats not something I can always say when companies release improved products.

Here is a quick picture, and as soon as preproduction units get here, we will start working on getting a review up.

Thoughts, feedback, or input is always welcome.

Ive been looking for a bipod, this looks like a nice unit. Is there any noise from the springs when opening or closing?

If you are deploying the unit fast (meaning pulling really hard) then there is noise from the legs snapping in place but if noise is your concern, you can pull them out slowly. Personally, I've never understood the concern about spring noise. If you are worried about your target hearing you, you are probably too close and not needing a bi-pod. Maybe I'm in the minority here as I hear that concern many times. Please enlighten me if I'm off base.

LOL Im not familiar with bipods and never had to use them for work. I had a friend who had some type of bipod mounted on his M14 and when he would deploy it or retract it the thing made a sound like the spring on a unoiled screen door and it became like nails on a chalk board to me. You would of thought the Army would of bought the poor guy some better equipment, but back then it was like hard to squeeze anything out of them.
This new bipod and other new products are so interesting I contacted Bobro about becoming a dealer.

Thanks for the dealer request. At the moment, we are the sole distributor for BOBRO and dealer inquiries can be sent to sales@rainierarms.com

    Bobro

Some pics using the Bobro on my Colt AR, even with the Bobro fitted onto
the Surefire M73 rail, there were no problems fitting it into the Eberlestock
Gunslinger backpack. First 2 pics in the indoor range,

    outdoor range,

I recently got the Bobro Gen 2 bipod from Rainer Arms, along with the Magpul PRS Stock. I also got the Accu-Shot QK Mono-pod for the PRS and I tested everything out this weekend. This combo worked great and the Bobro Bi-Pod is the perfect height for using with the Mono-Pod. Thanks John.

I was at Rainier Arms last month and picked up one of these things and I can't begin to explain how light it was! It didn't feel flimsy at all - but I was absolutely shocked at how light it was.

Just thought I would throw that out there in case anyone was on the fence. This would certainly be a great product to buy.

    Hope this helps.

I took this pic back in Feb., I guess it was. The bipod is remarkably light, low profile (big plus), and works great.

    Great pictures!

We love to see the equipment in use. The last image brings back some memories, the Sat. equipment was called the "Anvil of Crom" because jumping it sucked so bad.

LOL, jumping anything sucks pretty bad till you get to walk off the DZ in one piece. Then, you can talk about how cool that was.

My brother has one of the Gen I's and it's the best bipod I've seen by far. I can only imagine the Gen II.
