    G-Code Kydex Holster

    Received my new holster from Gunners Alley today in the mail.

    I am replacing a Blackhawk Serpa (after I learned about all of the issues with them).

    I did a ton of research before I made the decision to purchase...I am VERY glad I went with this platform.

    Here are some photos of the holster, notice how well the fit is to the pistol.
    User adjustable retention screw located in front of the trigger guard.
    I really like that the holster doesn't protrude below the trigger guard...

    Holsters come in Black, OD Green, Coyote tan (pictured) and Foliage Green.

    There is a litany of options for this platform as well. One attachment is standard with the holster.
    Holster was $52.50 shipped.
    * Straight drop paddle
    * Straight drop belt slide attachment (this is what I chose)
    * 15 degree forward cant paddle
    * 15 degree forward cant belt slide attachment
    * An additional adapter, called the mid/low, is also available for the straight drop and/or 15 degree forward paddles. This adapter allows you to lower the holster height another 1-1/2".
    * REAC Ready Tactical Harness
    * Comfort Carry IWB Harness

    The photos are of my Glock 17. The muzzle protrudes about 3/8".
    This holster will also work with my 19.

    Here is their website.

    I did not receive any compensation for this review, just passing on my personal opinions to my fellow shooters.

    Thanks for posting the review, the holster looks like it offers a lot of adjustment, and its a pretty good price. It seems like some kydex is starting to get extra spendy.

    I much prefer the two piece construction that this holster and Raven Concealment offers over folded kydex.

    Is your intention to use this for concealed carry?

    Chris, this rig will be used for open carry and the few matches that I participate in throughout the year. I use a (Predator) IWB Kydex holster for CCW.

    One other note on this lineup, all of the attachments are compatible with all hoslters.

    I have been using G-Code Kydex Holsters for more than a year now.
    All of mine use the RTI system.
    I'll post Some pics and my opinion on these holsters if its OK with the OP..

    I live down the road from G-Code (Edge-Works Manufacturing)
    I have been using the holsters for more than a year in multiple configurations.
    I use 3 holsters primarily. G-Code XD-45, G-Code Glock 19, and Blackhawk Serpa for the XD-45.
    All three holsters can interchange between my multiple RTI adapters.
    I have the Offset Drop RTI Adapter, Belt Slide RTI Adapter, I added a RTI wheel to my HSGI UDHP, RTI Claw (not shown) and a couple RTI wheels mounted in specific locations.
    I open carry the XD Serpa or Glock G-Code holster daily.
    The XD G-Code usually sits in the UDHP, but I switch it out sometimes to use the Glock in the DL.
    When properly adjusted all have great retention and no wobble.
    I really like the fact I can still use my Serpa by adding the RTI plate to the rear of the Holster.
    If you look at cost, and ease of use the G-Code RTI system you can see why I like it so much.
    I also use the Glock G-Code holster with my Airsoft G19 pistol, I just have to adjust the tension screw a little.

    CXS, those are some great pictures for comparison between the different holsters. I'm currently trying to decide between G-Code or Safariland's MLS system. I currently only have a Blade-Tech and no other manufacturer to compare to, but did you have to drill new holes to install the RTI mounts? Thanks

    NOPE. There are RTI Plates for pretty much every holster.
    Most holsters use the same mounting holes.
    The Serpa and G-Code for my XD-45 have the same mounting holes and use the same adapter. They look different as one plate is newer.

    Stopped by G-Code today and picked up some Un-Released Items.
    I'm out of town tonight and will post some pics tomorrow.

    CXS I appreciate it greatly. I've heard nothing but good things about G-Code. With so many choices out there it's good to see the comparisons side-by-side in your pictures. I'm really liking the modularity of their platform and with the different adapters. Thanks again
