What's sort of new is sort of old
I have been trying to find an AR15 that fit my idea of the "perfect" rifle (for me). Things finally came together to build what I have had in mind. Some old, some new, it seems to work well for me. Through a stroke of luck, a friend had a stock that is off of an M16 that I actually carried while I was in the service. How cool is that!

Made me look twice with the A3, but I'll bet it handles nice.

I have an A2 or a slick M16 upper to put on it, but could not get the barrel to budge on this one. Not pinned that I can see, but she just would not spin-off. Even tried heat, and putting her in the freezer.
Oh well, she handles very well this way, and gives me some versatility if I really want optics on her. (Although, I have a couple of others for that).Last edited by aflineman; 10 October 2009 at 18:51.
