    Looking for CC holster recommendations

Hey all, I'm looking for a good holster for my 4" Kimber. Want an IWB, that has good weapon retention properties, secrues well on the belt, is comfortable to wear, and doesn't cost too too much (not that I expect to find quality for cheap). Right now I have it in a Galco NSAII, and hate it. It rides comfortably, but is only retained by a single j-hook that doesn't keep the holster secured well at all.

Looking more towards a Milt Sparks or Mitch Rosen, but they aren't cheap. Have also seen some IWB by Bladetech that are reasonably priced. Any ideas?

What price range is acceptable to you?

A good holster is worth its price in gold but doesn't have to be expensive depending on what works for you. I tend to prefer the Milt Sparks Summer Special style while the Versa Max II style is also very popular (many consider it the best design out there). The BladeTech is good, some people like kydex, some don't. If you can, try a couple styles/designs/materials before you buy or you'll end up with a box full of holsters that just didn't work for you like some of us.

Well, I'd like to keep it under a $100, which I could with most kydex holsters. I've tried both the Summer Special 2, and the VM II, love them both, and willing to pay a few extra $$$. But the Sparks backlog is running 22-26 weeks right now. Was also looking at the Comp-Tac Infidel with belt loops, around $60-70.

And yep, I already have a shoebox full of crap holsters, and not looking to add to it.

If you like the Summer Special, Brownells usually has them in stock for under $100 in stock now: http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/sid=2.../sku/Commander).
I've heard good things about the VMII style holster from here: http://monicakuehnleather.blogspot.com/

Either should be quality for under $100. CompTac has an excellent reputation as well if you go with kydex or hybrid.

Thanks for the info brother. Those Monica Kuehn holsters look pretty nice, and a little cheaper and faster delivery time than the Sparks. I'm going to give them a call and ask a few questions. If anybody has used this brand, and could give me some input as well, it'd be appreciated.
