My name is Andrew.

I'm just a college student with a passion for firearms and their function.
I am in the process of building an AR-15 from the lower receiver on up, it is quite fun to learn how it works and I am hoping that I don't contract Black Rifle Disease in the process, but I probably will like so many others.

Hey scholarly armorers :) Or armed scholars...

I don't usually participate in forums, but I like the group here. I've seen pretty much every staff member here on other forums, and I figured I'd follow the fountain back to the source. Dunno if I have much to contribute to this group, given that my experience is almost completely military (Active Duty Army, and dug in like a tick). Within just the last year, I've began to branch out into the civilian personal defense world, and am enjoying being able to experiment on my own terms.

In terms of non-issued weapons, I own an XDm .40 which I very much enjoy. I'm just now building my first AR-15, and am looking at picking up a .38 or .357 revolver for Mrs. Cannon Fodder. I'm also considering purchasing a smaller CCW, perhaps a Ruger LCP.

You sure hid it well enough. LOL.

I usually don't reveal much about myself on the internet.

I will just say I am ex law enforcement. My claim to fame was to convince my department to write their procurement specifications so that a top tier manufacturer like Colt would get their AR15 order, instead of a bottom tier manufacturer.

Other than that, I believe in pursuing the best quality in firearms, and that's why I joined this site and M4Carbine.net.
