My new weapon with a few new accessories
I just bought this last week, and i wanted to change a few things before i shot it....
Accessories are hard to find, but Rainer surprised me with a Sig front sight in stock, as well as a FSC556, i was one of the lucky ones that got a Magpul UBR, now i just need to replace that front rail, and i am probably done.....

The UBR fits in with the SIG perfectly. That's a nice looking rifle!

I've held a SIG 556 and I liked the feel of the rifle. The aesthetics aren't the best on the factory version. The things that have turned me off to it was reading that it has a 7lb trigger pull and that the barrel needs to be changed by a factory armorer. That was in GWLE, Feb 2008 edition.

The trigger is great IMHO, i have Geissele, KAC, and RRa triggers in my ARs, and while i'm not saying its as good as, its great in its own way... I'll try to describe it, while they call it a 2 stage i don't think its a true 2 stage, yes you have a definite single stage stop, and you push against what looks like a trigger stop, buts its a plunger, but there's no creep, and its crisp, and it pulls through nicely on rapid fire, i have not met a single person who tried it that hadn't said wow thats a nice trigger.....

Her is a picture of the trigger group..
And a picture of the huge feed ramp, and to answer your question about changing the barrel, while it won't be as easy as changing an AR barrel, it has two flats on either side of the barrel for a wrench, although i haven't changed one yet, i think as long as you follow proper headspacing guidelines i don't think it will be a problem..
