7.6 TRX Extreme BattleRail for a lightweight bulid
I was thinking using a Troy 7.6 TRX Extreme BattleRail for a lightweight build. Then I notice on their website that its only for pistol length gas systems. Why would this not work for a carbine system? Other then having the gas block exposed I dont see any problems.

Most carbine rails are 7".

I’m going to use it on a lightweight build with a DD hammer forged lightweight barrel with a carbine gas system and a Vltor .625 gas block. Most people seem to use the 9” but I though I would give the 7.6” a try and see how it go’s.

I was under the impression that they had not come out with 7” yet.

They're 7.6" also. It looks like the 13 and 7.6" are hard to find.

It will fit fine over the gas block at the carbine position. It won't work with a fixed front sight base at the carbine position.
