Primary Weapons System

I am looking at building my first AR, I'm kinda interested in the PWS DC-16 upper in 5.56. I'm looking for a system to function as a duty weapon, I would also like it to be able to with stand a lot of abuse. I would like a gas piston upper but I am willing to consider a regular gas operating system. I plan on using a spikes billet lower or POF-USA billet lower. I would like any info, good or bad. I'm also up for other suggestions.Thanks for the help.

My time with the PWS systems was spent working with their early pistons.
