Rainier Arms .308 UltraMatch
What is the recommended ammo for these barrels?

They are designed for accuracy so use any quality match ammo or handloads. Blackhills, Hornady, Federal, and even HSM are some good choices.

What if I wanted to plink with a few boxes of M80, I've got some Lake City stashed away.
It probably won't perform very well?
ETA: I'm asking because Noveske says not to run that type of ammo in the N6 barrels, I don't know why that is though.

Check with John and see if his barrels can handle the Military ammo. It depends on the chamber. If your barrel can't handle the military ammo, you may get pressure signs and/or popped primers.

Not sure who I spoke with just now, but they said it is fine.
I'm ordering one of these Rainier barrels and I'm having them Gun-Kote it, I might even have them assemble the upper.
I just can't see spending another $150 for an N6 barrel that can't shoot certain types of ammo.
