Centurion Arms Prototype Rail
A few shots of the Centurion Arms prototype rail. After getting this in my hands, and playing around with it for awhile, I can say that I really like the design. I understand the production models will have QD points built into the rail, but this is pretty much good to go from my view point.
While there are some other pictures floating around, I'm kind of fond of the ones I shot.... so here you go.

After some initial skepticism (brought on mostly by a poor choice of words) I'm looking forward to getting some of these in my hands. Elsewhere they posted a picture of a 10.0 length with a cutout at the top for the FSB on a mid-length system and that's the version I'm hoping to get my hands on.

I'm anxious to see where the 12" w/ QD (limited rotation) come out as far as weight and cost. I might swap out the 12.0Lite on my DMR upper for one of those.

Interesting how the barrel nut is partially exposed. I'm looking forward to seeing one.

Are these round like MI and KAC rails or oval like DD and LaRue?

I like the recess machined into the bottom rear of the rail just in front of the takedown pivot. I get binding there on my DD Lite, and at least one Noveske lower where the Noveske upper with the DD Lite won't fit at all (pins won't even line up).

Monty has been shoving VIS-3A uppers out the door for that last couple weeks, so they're coming down the pipe. No speculation from me on how soon, but I saw the former and took it as an indicator that they're still coming soon.
