the nice thing is that I have both handguards and stocks. So my enhanced version is now a super enhanced personalized version :)
In theory the ACR should be just as easy to re zero.Last edited by The-S; 16 November 2010 at 15:07.

Handguard looks pretty easy, how hard is it to swap stocks?

its a matter of two pins. I will take some pics soon to show you. the same goes for the handguards. The railed one is just short.

The pink arrows point to the pins that remove the handguard and stock.
The green arrows take down the upper from the lower.
Sorry for the noob arrows, im currently in the library without the gun.

I went with the ACR over the SCAR as well. I like it a lot, but haven't shot it since the recall--haven't gotten around to sending it in.
The ease breaking this gun clear down is amazing. The weight is a little unfortunate, but I think it is something that may be addressed in future iterations.
I really like your pictures too. ...I need to find the thread for ACR pictures here, hm...

Nice, thanks for the pics.
Do you know how much that thing weighs with the basic stock and basic handguard on it?

I was somewhat surprised by the fact that BFI did the gun in a Coyote derivative, rather than the FDE we more commonly associate with Magpul. Granted, this isn't a fashion show, nor a matter of any great importance, but the Masada prototypes were nicely matched FDE pieces, and the ACR production models don't really seem to "match" anything -- including themselves.

Ah, was going to post some pictures but Photobucket is doing maintenance.
Regarding the chart you posted, the SCAR doesn't have ambidextrous controls? I would have swore it did.

Photobucket is back up! Excuse the terrible lighting in some of these...

The-S,
I posted some pictures but they never showed up. I guess a mod decided to not let them through. Sorry.

Your information on the SCAR is inaccurate. The SCAR does in fact have ambi- controls from the factory.
