    Duracoat FDE Colors?

Any pics of ar 15's done in Duracoat FDE Colors. I'm really interested in #14 Tiger Stripe Brown, Magpul FDE and Coyote Brown...Whatever it may end up being it will have to be completely flat. Thanks guys!

I really like the Tiger Stripe Brown. My lower is done in that color and my upper is a slightly darker FDE (I think the Vltor one but I can't quite remember). Figuring out the right shade of FDE was a PITA. I'll try and post up pics, I'm very computer illiterate. I have to make one of the warehouse Ninjas do it in their free time

I've been planning the same thing. Anyone know how well the Magpul FDE matches up with actual Magpul FDE products? Is it spot on or is the shade a tad bit off?

I've seen a couple pictures and it's WAAAY lighter than Magpul's plastics - Cerakote's is too I also read somewhere that mixing a little matte black Duracoat would get it closer.

Well if that's the case, is there another factory Duracoat color that is closer. I'm not one for experimentation and don't want to mess up a perfectly good weapon.

The lower is Done in Duracoat TS brown and the upper is done in FDE (think the VLTOR one). My rail panels are a combination of Foliage, OD, FDE, and UDE. Mag and IMOD stock are Foliage, with an MOE in FDE. After all was said and done, I taped the important stuff and sprayed Desert Brown mission removable spray paint from Duracoat on it at random. Nothing matches and I love it.

She may not look pretty but she sure can fight!!!

Here's Duracoat's "Magpul FDE" on an AR with Magpul FDE furniture so you can see the slight difference in colors. There is a slight shade difference, but to me it looks good.

Thanks for the pics. But for what I want, I'd like it to be as close as possible. I know this is asking alot but I have a tad bit of OCD and I just want it done a certain way.

I should also say that I took this photo quickly. Looking at it posted now, the lighting is a bit off. The color doesn't look nearly that pale. (That's what I get for rushing.)

Ok...my recommendation, then, would be to use the formula mentioned above that adds some black. Spray a test piece of something to ensure you have the shade you're going for.

First off - It's CDO - it should be alphabetized if you are going to have a disorder about making things perfect. I re-thought my CDO (OCD) to make things organized - messed up, I actually have a method to my madness now.

I did alot of searching today because this got me thinking and from what I found out is that the closest STOCK color to Magpul FDE is Aluma-Hyde II Coyote. Anyone ever use this stuff before?
