The new Brownells CQB T-Dot features a custom reticle designed by Brownells. The T-Dot Reticle features the standard EOTech 65 MOA Circle, but with an exposed gap around the lower “T”. This gap allows for an unobstructed view of Close Quarter targets, ensuring accurate shot placement at extremely close distances. The new reticle also includes the standard EOTech 1 MOA aiming points, providing accurate aiming points for long distance targets.

The center reticle is for a 50/200 yard zero and the second dot corresponds to 500 yards. The "T" dot serves as an aiming point for targets within 10 yards.






The custom engraved hood includes the Brownells CQB T-Dot reticle on the top, as well as a notation of adjustments on the side. Next to the windage and elevation turrets, Brownells has engraved “1/2 MOA per Click”, ensuring that you always know what adjustments you are making.

Based on the EOTech EXPS2, the CQB T-Dot retains all of the features of this optic. The CQB T-Dot attaches to Mil-Std Picatinny rails with a quick detach lever, which allows for a repeatable zero. Power is provided by one 123 Lithium battery, easily accessed by a side cap. The optic includes a built in 7mm riser, allowing for a lower one-third co-witness.

Yeh. I have a couple of OPMODs (EXPS3 w/o night vision), which also have the billboard graphics. It must be etched or something...I was totally unable to scrub it off no matter what solvent I tried. My solution was to just pull the hood and send it off to be cerakoted at Alternative Firearms Coatings. Cost me $25.



I do note that the OPMOD (apparently based on the EXPS3) sells for $490, whereas the Brownells CQB is based on the (apparently) somewhat less robust EXPS2 and sells for $550.

And for longe ranges where this part of the reticle also can be used they aren't of much utility either.

IMHO this is more of a marketing gag than a real new feature.

Hey Hmac, good idea with the hood! I agree about the price of the Brownells. The OPMODS have a throw lever also, and the Brownells doesn't. Hopefully Optics planet will come out with their own and maybe call it OPTMOD! I dunno, but if they do, I'll get that one. Those throw levers are nice.

I disagree with dropping the second dot. It gives this reticle the classic EOTech look and is actually useful for longer range shooting. Since the practicality of EOTechs in the real steel world has shifted mainly to SBRs (not paired with a magnifier, with a magnifier you will see it on firearms with 20 inch barrels) and that would be the only reason I would never use that second dot.
