S&S Precision is showing their new plate carriers here at SHOT 2012. They are plate specific and S&S is working to have a version for every available plate out there. They weigh only 1 lbs. 6 oz (the Police version is slightly lighter). The plates "clip" into the carrier. S&S has made several accessory pouches that work with the carrier to include a radio pouch and a side plate carrier.
