Review: Hera Arms MPSS
I was looking for a ambidextrous safety for my OA-15 and found the review of the BAD-ASS but after 1 month not even one dealer answered my emails if they could send it to austria. I had already given up and decided to buy the "normal" ambidextrous safety.
But then my gunsmith called me and told me about a email he received from Hera Arms with the advertisment for their new AR safety.
This is the ad he received.
I was really excited and picked it up yesterday.
It comes in a metal box.
In it there is the actual safety and the switches in 5 various lengths and sizes in 3 colours (Black,FDE,Foliage)
Also 3 screws and 2 allen keys.
The 2 Euro and 1 Dollar coins are intended to be a size comparable.
The switches are made of polymer.
You can use the MPSS as a 90° or 45° degree safety by just rotating it 180°.
Installation was pretty easy. The only hard thing was to decide which switches i should use.
I personally dont like the 45° safety so i installed it 90° and i decided to go with the switch you can see on the picture above, on the other side i mounted the "long one".
And if i dont like my setup i can easily change it...it only takes seconds.
I really like my new safety and i dont regret the buy.
Price is ~70 Euro and should be available in europe by now.
If you got any questions, just write me.
best regards, Daniel aka jhjfdf from snowy vienna
P.S.: Here's a preview for my next review...its also from Hera Arms but unfortunately they delivered it with a 1/2x28 thread and i need it with a M14x1
P.P.S.: If you know a good dealer who will ship to austria, please send me a pm with a link to his shop.(i know brownells, but they only send to a amount of 100 dollars...)
