Leupold VX-R Patrol 1.25-4x20 for Scar 17
I am considering the Leupold VX-R Patrol in 1.25-4x for my Scar 17. Does anyone have any experience with the optic? Are these on par with the Mark 4 scopes in build quality? It would be a do it all optic from 5-500 yards. Main uses would be range gun, tactical classes, some bore hunting. I was originally considering a Elcan SpecterDR, Eotech with 3x magnifier, or the new Mark 6 Leupold 1-6x. I'm looking for something that is a little less expensive but will be comparable in function.

Honestly, I tried to find the do it all optic and wasted more money looking for it than anything. The best advice I can give you is to just get a few decent optics on QD mounts and swap them out with whatever you need. Something like an Aimpoint T-1 on a QD mount and a good 3x9 scope on a QD mount. That should cover most of your needs.
