Since I dont know which one you mean, I'd say your fine.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with a Nikon D5200 here soon. I dont think I can ever go back to my old camera after using my buddy's D5300 for my most recent shoots.

Well I can't find the photo so I guess it wasn't yours. I saw a similar pic, could have sworn it was yours. I guess not.

The 5200 is a solid choice. My mom has one. VERY similar to mine just with a swivel screen and a few extra features.
The 5300 & 3300 came out only like two months after picking up my 3200. Grr.

I compared the 5300 and the 5200 and they have very similar specs. The 5200 just doesn't have onboard wifi or gps. Two features I didn't want to pay for anyway. And, I can pick one up for a very reasonable price.
