This is the forum of ARs, for certain. It's funny how a new product post for a $50 AR part turns into 10+ pages on this forum while photos of cool non-AR firearms are basically ignored.

Yeah I know it is. Your observation is true. The Glock and the NFA threads get a little more attention but not much more.
I know I'm in the minority with this thread. AKs have a special place in my heart.

It's fun to run a couple of mags through it, but I just don't enjoy it as much as an AR, no doubt in part due to ergos.

A buddy has one with a slidefire stock on it. I don't recall ever feeling quite so close to disaster as when holding that rattletrap!

I would add that it's the SlideFire stock that does that, mostly, except its a Century AK.

I need to get a basic AK. Not because I like them, but because I need to ensure that my children grow up knowing how to operate and field strip one. And, of course, they need to learn about the distinct sound...

You should buy one sooner than later then. They are starting to creep up in price.

The prices are hard to beat on the Lee Armory Ak's . I looked at every model available from all of my distributors and pretty much everything under $1k was garbage except for the Lee Armory builds which we order direct.
