Yes that's the Kaw Valley... works well and does what the comp is designed for, which is blowing everything towards the front. I think they priced it right as well. I have a bout 600 rounds through one of mine, I haven't shot with the other. I think it does a better job that the Troy Claymore, I don't have any experiences with the other comps you mentioned.

Thanks for the reply! It is a great looking comp, that's for sure. I am still planning to test the Blast Master next but I don't think I can resist trying one of those for long.

Voodoo, how is the noise/concussion/blast of the Triad? I was trying various linear comps on my 7" SBR but they all literally blinded me at night, so I'm shifting gears now and trying to pick the best flash hiders that have reasonable muzzle climb mitigating properties but still direct blast downrange. Obviously the CQB 556 seems like a good choice but at $150 I can't buy one just to "try" and I'm not sure if I want to hang 9oz. off the end of my barrel. Any advice?

Totally depends on what you want the muzzle device to do for you.

The CQB is on my 11.5 and the Triad is on a 16 inch upper I have.

I got the CQB specifically because this will be a very CQB gun, 50y and in maybe 75, but probably not. The Triad is not an indoors muzzle device.

    I hate timing Surefire devices...

Didn't have room to pack my dSLR, so had to use a point and shoot...
