I know this is getting off topic, but...
I'm a member of a very nice range that has lots of different opportunities to shoot various "disciplines" of pewing. You can plink, you can shoot out to 200, you can work pistol, and if you get there at the right time and there isn't a class going on, you can usually find an empty bay to work specifics. There's also at least one class a month at the range, but often times more, including all the big names, so the 200y range is really just an open field and there's a random of assortment of vehicles that have started to accumulate from classes.
My buddy and I typically will shoot with each other most weekends if our schedules allow. Usually 2 of the weekends will focus on some sort of specific training plan (2-gun, distance rifle, handgun, etc). One of the weekends we both shoot in a 2-gun competition that we both generally place in the top 10 (although he's more top 10 than me...and a great shooter). That particular day in the picture, we were working distance from a barricade and collecting some data on POI shifts and then moved in closer to barricade and pistol work. At the end of the session, I just went over to set up a shot showing off the CQBR/Elcan with the car. There's another picture somewhere here with my MK18 and the same car. Just having fun with the camera (even if all I had on me was my phone).
In the last year, I've take a few classes (D4, PatMac) and they have their value, but I've found coming to the range regularly and with a training plan (and a timer for metrics) has been as valuable. Just 150-200-ish rounds of pistol and 200-ish rounds of rifle used smartly can be time well spent for not as much money as blowing through a case a range visit. At least for me.
Not that making noise for the sake of making noise isn't fun too, from time to time!

Discipline is nice and all, but the beauty of 360 acres is shooting stuff just to see if you can hit it.
