    LWRC M6A1 mod

I am thinking of modifying my M6 A1. What I want to do is, cut down or replace the front sight/gas block, install a mid or rifle length arms rail, and maybe cut the barrel down and have a surefire comp welded on. I emailed LWRC and they responded with a lot of excuses to not do this. The barrel is to hard to cut with normal equipment, if I change the gas block or shorten the barrel it may have cycling issues. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice? I built an AR with a shortened barrel and welded flash hider with a set up I really liked. Sadly I had to sell it. My M6 is the last AR I have, And I want to configure it to have a longer handguard and give the appearence of a SBR. Any advice would be great.

It would probably be cheaper to sell your upper and get the one that you want. I would listen to them on this one.
