Adjustable cheek pad for an M1A: Recommendations please.
Hey all,
I recently added a Vltor CASV-14 rail and a Leupold VX-R Patrol 1-4x scope (using Leupold Mark 4 medium rings)to my M1A Scout. As anyone who is familiar with the M14/M1A platform knows, mounting a scope while using the standard stock, provides a less than desirable cheek weld for proper sight picture. So I'm looking for an adjustable cheek pad to get a desirable comb height. I've seen several different brands, Spec Ops, BlackHawk, TacOps, etc, yet have no experience with any of them. Does anyone have any practical experience with this type of setup and offer any recommendations? Thanks!

Karsten is pretty much the standard for M1As.

Was looking at those, wasn't sure I was comfortable drilling holes in the stock. But after reading the instructions, and watching some "how to" videos online, it looks easy enough. Thanks for the input!
